My dad built a box to fit inside the fireplace. I had a doll house like this when I was in the first grade. I have been scouring ebay and antique stores for Marx style furniture to fill it. Emily has talked me into a few pieces that aren't authentic, but no biggie. The little yellow chair was mine and the folding metal chair was my mom's. I made the doll at a class many years ago at Small Towne Quilts. I can't remember the name of the instructor. We made the body parts by felting wool by hand. It took all day and is just adorable. I bought the outfit from the doll maker. Her hair and face are my favorite parts. So glad she finally has a perfect place to sit.
